Content strategist, content manager

Miranda has had several longer content strategy and content manager roles. She was content manager and copy lead on the relaunch of Ideal Standard’s consumer and corporate websites. The scope included developing user profiles, writing, editing and commissioning copy for all aspects of the site, interviewing designers and producers for profiles and case studies, producing brochures and a learning portal as well as visiting factories, building a future-proofed content framework and creating all style guides. She coordinated with stakeholders across the product, brand, PR, and translation teams, and spent a memorable day at one of their (sadly now closed) factories in Stoke on Trent to deepen her understanding of the business.

As a content strategist at Ogilvy, Miranda was part of a team building cross-brand content that showcased the sustainability activities of all brands under the Unilever umbrella. Called ‘Good together’, she audited existing content and recommended new content to build the brand’s sustainability profile.

And at IKEA of Sweden, the product design and development arm of the IKEA brand, she worked as a content manager on a year-long project building an app for co-workers in stores across the world. The app would give them instant access to all the relevant information they might need about IKEA products. The aim was to develop co-workers’ knowledge in a fun and playful way, so it had a gaming and leaderboard element to encourage on-going engagement.
